The World Health Organisation (WHO) suggests that we reduce our children's sugar intake to below 5% of total energy intake.
Most of the sugar intake for children comes from everyday drinks and juices that have a lot of sugar. It is suggested to swap these for drinks and juices that are sugar-free or have 'no-added sugar'.
Children aged between 4 and 6 should have no more than 19g of free sugars a day, this is equivalent to 5 sugar cubes.
